Terms.
Plain English. These are the terms your account runs on from launch.
What Cadenza promises
To do our best work. To read your syllabi accurately, to build plans you can trust, to keep your data safe. To not be another productivity app you abandon in week three.
What we ask in return
Use Cadenza the way we built it. Do not share your account. Do not submit Cadenza output as your own without citing it the same way you would cite anything else. Do not try to break it on purpose.
Academic integrity
Cadenza is study software. It plans your week, it does not write your papers, it does not submit anything to Quercus on your behalf. Every AI note cites back to your own lectures and readings. If your school has questions about whether a study tool is allowed, the answer is the same as it is for Google Calendar or a tutor. Cadenza supports how you already study.
What it costs
Two courses are free forever, with no credit card. Full Term is $5 per month or $50 per year and covers five courses. Dean's List is $10 per month or $100 per year and covers ten. You are never upgraded automatically, and you choose your plan yourself.
Billing and cancelling
Paid plans renew on the cycle you picked until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account, or by emailing support, and you keep access through the period you already paid for. Your data is yours, always exportable, always deletable. If you leave, you get sixty days to export everything.
Institutional sign on
Cadenza works on your own consent: you generate a read-only Quercus token and paste it in. We are working with the University of Toronto and Instructure on official single sign on so that step goes away. Until it lands, nothing about your access or your subscription changes, and it is not a condition of launch.
If Cadenza ever stops
Wesley is a 2nd year at Rotman Commerce, so Cadenza will be maintained through 2028 at minimum. If we ever wind down, you get sixty days notice and a one click export of every plan, note, and flashcard.
